Today we put springs on our odometry pods to ensure they accurately perform localisation, we gave lots of thought to our intake mechanism and we actually trusted our odometry - we ran into a few hitches though.. there's always a next time, though! #morethanrobotsuk#omgrobots
Today, we focused on fitting our 3 deadwheel OpenOdometry pods onto our chassis, with a custom 3D printed mounting design and a spring to ensure accurate data. We also tweaked and optimised our mecanum hubs. #morethanrobotsuk#omgrobots#ultimategoal#firsttechchallenge
In today's session, we completely took apart and built our robot again from scratch, we redesigned our mecanum wheel hubs & made our deadwheel odometry pods! We also made a prototype for our intake.

Tonight was very π₯!! We came back with a bang to find our 3D printer complete with a makeover! We then discussed our plans for building our robot, and with a @REVrobotics order in transit, we took the opportunity to start doing CAD in @adskFusion360. Perfect!! #morethanrobotsuk

Great session tonight! Our team lead created a 3D printed launcher prototype that didn't work, so we threw out the gearbox. Alongside that, veteran team member Keanu inspired the team by showcasing other robots' designs, including @cannedunicorn1's robot! #morethanrobotsuk#ftcuk
