John Mitchell has passed away. John Mitchell was the highly trusted confidant of Reverend Jesse L. Jackson for 30 years. Rev. Jackson counted on him to keep in communication with his followers and to assist in organizing the yearly convention of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition alongside many of the other projects that Rev. Jackson has so aptly led. John Mitchell was loved, and he will be missed not only by Reverend Jackson but by the many volunteers who have been with the Rainbow Coalition for all these years. I join with Reverend Jackson and all the volunteers and associates of the Rainbow Coalition in saying goodbye to our dear friend. Rest in power, John Mitchell!
