@USMC_Vet@mcuban ironically the people who call this “ego lifting” are calling it this with their egos because they see the weight lifted without competition form. Muscles aren’t judges, they don’t care about form. They care about time x tension. Why care unless they are doing something not safe
@USMC_Vet@mcuban He is controlling the weight on the way down. Eccentric movements when isolated from concentric have consistently resulted in better gains than concentric only, and when weight adjusted better than controlled “clean” reps. Google Ronnie Coleman
@Reaganman18@mcuban Dont lower weight, just slow down eccentric movement, stay under tension at bottom. As long as he isn’t straining his back too much this is fine for weight. At his age though its iffy to go for
