Fort Mill’s Broden Mitcheson is The Herald’s high school athlete of the week.

The 5-foot-8, 175-pound junior running back had 225 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 42 carries in a 42-35 win over rival Nation Ford on Oct. 31.

Mitcheson also had four catches for 31 yards in the victory.

He has 1,085 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns, while catching 20 passes for 139 yards and two more scores for Fort Mill (5-5) this season.
