Sebagai org yg pernah sampe bolak balik psikolog & psikiater minum obat gara2 seorang avoidant.. I now feel pity for them..

Mereka tuh sebenernya juga butuh dan mau mencintai.. but it scares them so much (bisa krn banyak faktor) and most of the time they already hates themselves.. it’s actually pretty sad..

Instead of blaming them (the avoidants) aku skrg lebih berusaha memahami kalo mereka cm berusaha melindungi diri mereka sendiri due to their traumas..

The best way to face avoidants is.. just let them be. Gaperlu coba untuk “memperbaiki” mereka dgn cara kasih cinta yg lebih banyak, it only scares them. Instead, set your own boundaries, self respect and expectations. Pahami bahwa bukan salah dan tanggung jawab kita bahwa mereka blm mampu buat meregulasi emosi dan komunikasi mereka scr baik. And find peace with the situation.

I hope both avoidants and their “victims” are healed and can develop secure attachment. May we find love that is gentle and soft. Sending hugs for everyone 🫂
