Repenting is a change of mind.

God himself repents dozens of times in the Bible.

If repentance automatically means turning from sin then why does God himself repent in Jonah 3:10? Are you suggesting God sins?

Repentance in terms of salvation means to go from unbelief to belief, from being unsaved to saved, from trusting in yourself to trusting in Christ, from worshiping idols to the true & living God. It’s an act of conversion not of lifestyle but of what you’re believing/trusting in.

It’s a matter of who you have your faith & trust in, not whether you have been baptized, prayed today, done the sacrament, read your Bible ect.

Repenting of our sin is a daily thing. Salvation is a one time thing that happens the moment you believe on Christ. Today is the day of salvation.

There are over 112 sola fide Bible verses. Baptism is a work. Baptism is not apart of salvation or the gospel. That’s why Paul clearly distinguishes the two. If baptism was apart of salvation Paul would’ve said Christ sent me here to baptize. But he in fact said the opposite.
