The Federal Government has flagged off the reconstruction and upgrade of the Alau Dam in Maiduguri, Borno.
The commencement of this project is to implement the joint recommendations made by the Interministerial Technical Subcommittee on Evaluation of Dams.
The project has a duration of twenty four months and is structured in two phases with the first phase starting from now to September while the second phase will resume in October and will focus on extensive desilting and resilience of the dam.

The Federal Government has flagged off multi-billion naira construction of the Greater Dutse Water Supply Project in Sintilmawa , Jigawa State.
The project which has a duration of twenty four months was approved by the Federal Executive Council under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as immediate intervention to tackle water scarity that has continue to bite harder on communities in Jigawa State especially the Dutse community and and it's environs .
Components of work to be executed to complete the project include, construction of thirty five industrial boreholes with solar pumps, supply and installation of one thousand cubic metre water package treatment plant, supply and installation of long transmission main of about fifty six point six kilometre of six hundred and four hundred mmm HDPE line, supply and installation of high lift pumps at both Sintilmawa and Karnaya booster station among others .
