You can't understand 1776 if you don't understand 1619. July 4, 1776 when the colonists declared independence, 1/5 of the population of the 13 colonies was enslaved. They would not gain freedom for a century. This, too, is the 4th of July. This, too, is the story of America.

When I was a little kid I thought being in the Senate was prestigious, a sign that you were smart and qualified to lead. What must young people think now?
What I’m asking is this: if I cook stuffing inside the turkey, is there a chance I could kill my guests? I'm not saying that's necessarily a deal-breaker.
Good afternoon, @butterball. First of all I’d like to say what a wonderful service you provide.
Stuffing should be stuffed inside the turkey, am I correct? Otherwise we'd have to call it something else, wouldn't we?
