[NEWS] The President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum presented to #BTS a commemorative plaque inscribed with the words, "BTS has inspired Mexican youth through music and contributed to the formation of a community based on a culture of respect, empathy, diversity, and peace." 🇲🇽🔥

BTS visited the National Palace in Mexico City. This visit, which lasted approximately 40 minutes, was made possible by an official invitation from President Claudia Sheinbaum.

The central balcony of the National Palace is a highly symbolic location where the President usually only ascends for national holidays, such as the Independence Day celebrations on September 15th. For an international artist to stand in this spot with the President and greet the citizens is an unprecedented and extraordinary honor in Mexican history. President Sheinbaum praised BTS as "a team that delivers a message of friendship, peace, and love" and defined this meeting as a "historic moment."
