@CofRedCentral Still in a bottom 5 position.
Made every move imaginable to get younger and rake asset value.
Playing 6 rookies nightly (including 2 college signings with zero experience).
Camp dump cast offs getting prime ice time.
Sometimes you just need to not complain and let things ride
@RingOfFireCGY I think this 5 min major review thing needs to be amended.
Or all penalties should be reviewed (nightmare).
If you call something and suggest 5 with a review the min should be a 2 min minor. Not a non call. Calgary had the puck on the powerplay when they blew it dead.
@CofRedCentral@Slavvyth@Fan960Logan Maybe some day you'll see that players play hockey, they don't draft players.
You want the ones that don't like losing.
The team made all the changes needed to put them in a good place.
Don't expect the players remaining to do anything but what they're wired to do.
@CofRedCentral@Fan960Logan He's a competitor.
He competes.
He likes to win.
But overreacting fans that can't see through the vineer of a comment about being competitive and take it too literally will remain butt hurt forever.
@CofRedCentral@Slavvyth@Fan960Logan I get that ... you overreact to everything.
He's a competitive player. You want a guy like that around your team. He's proven that at every step of being a Flame.
Maybe see the world a little more from a 360 perspective and not the narrow draft position / tank approach?
@CofRedCentral@Fan960Logan They want to advance their careers, secure their spots, make some money to set their families up.
You brought up common sense ... lean into it.
@CofRedCentral@Fan960Logan What is the impact of the Flames drafting 1st or 2nd or 3rd or 7th to Blake Coleman that at most will be here until March 5th next season?
Fans can think tank.
Scouts can salivate about draft picks.
Players play. They shouldn't and don't look to lose.
@CofRedCentral@Fan960Logan It is common sense.
1/5 of the team is playing for a job.
1/3 of the team is playing for a role next year.
The impact of a player selected 4th or 8th overall means zero to them.
@CofRedCentral@DouglasSchloss5@wincolumnCGY I think you're bringing a lot of bias to Huska press conferences.
Said he played well three times. Said he's the guy you want on the ice in that situation.
There wasn't any shade at all.
@JonnEngstrom Once again don't worry about what they say. Worry about what they do.
They've largely gone with two rookies in their three pairings on the blueline. They broke camp with two 19 year olds. They gave the shut down line winger spot to a 20 year old.
