Into the Woods was a success! The show, one of Stephen Sondheim's most popular works, follows a baker and his wife as they go on a journey to reverse a witch's curse, encountering beloved storybook characters along the way. Our actors were sensational!
This year's Changemaker Assembly at Little Calhoun focused on female-identified changemakers in honor of Women's History Month. Each cluster chose a changemaker to study and shared what they learned with their peers, with presentations ranging from speeches to videos to soccer!
A group of 13 Upper Schoolers traveled to D.C. to participate in the Washington Area Model United Nations Conference (WAMUNC) hosted by The George Washington University. Calhoun had three students winning awards at the conference, Tomas M.’24, Josephine F. ’23 and Zach B-W ’25!
Dr. Monica Miller, Calhoun parent and English/Africana Studies professor at Barnard, visited two eleventh grade English classes to discuss Zora Neale Hurston during their unit on Their Eyes Were Watching God. It was awesome to have a college professor at Calhoun!
