.there are not many movies out there about specifically the Sharpeville Massacre, mostly just clips. Most documentaries aren't free, like this one. 21 March 1960 was a watershed moment in our fight against the apartheid system. Painful history must be told! ✊🏿😫😥🙆🏾♀️
Since most S.A. Media Houses won't celebrate him, let's share this great news...
19 YEARS OLD BAYANDA WALAZA IS CURRENTLY THE FASTEST MAN IN THE WORLD
He just dropped a massive of 9.99s (0.7) to win the men’s 100-meter at the AGN Championships in Pretoria.
BREAKING 🇿🇦 More than 100 parliamentarians from around the world stand with the South African people against US President Donald Trump's executive order, calling it "an assault on their right to self-determination."
I disapprove of coups but we must accept that Captain Traore is teaching African leaders lessons that cannot be ignored on the transformative governance needed to decolonise, democratise and indigenise African economies. Most African politicians have simply worked within the inherited strictures which sought to make Africa a place of extraction and its people cheap labour and mass markets. They seem surprised that they are not making much progress on self sufficiency, poverty and hunger busting and bridging the equality gap between their countries and the developed world.
Here’s an interesting proposal:
What if we linked the salary increases of government cabinet ministers to the growth of the economy?
For example, if the economy grows by 1%, their salaries would increase by 1%.
If the economy does really well and grows by more than 5%, they could qualify for an additional bonus based on how much the economy exceeds that growth rate.
The idea behind this is that one of the reasons for poor economic management is that the people in charge don’t have the right incentives to do better.
By tying their pay directly to the economy's performance, we might encourage them to focus more on making the economy stronger and improving the overall situation for everyone.
What do you think?

@SpoonlessMel@CyrilRamaphosa I don't know how many times as a citizen have I criticised our president and no one disappears in my family. Freedom of speech is our daily life in South Africa.
@SpoonlessMel@CyrilRamaphosa Absolutely!! That is why we have entire groups crying sbout the non-existent “white genocide” in South Africa without consequence. We even have organisations travelling to the USA on disinformation campaigns.
South Africa is a constitutional democracy that is deeply rooted in the rule of law, justice and equality. The South African government has not confiscated any land.
The recently adopted Expropriation Act is not a confiscation instrument, but a constitutionally mandated legal process that ensures public access to land in an equitable and just manner as guided by the constitution.
South Africa, like the United States of America and other countries, has always had expropriation laws that balance the need for public usage of land and the protection of rights of property owners.
We look forward to engaging with the Trump administration over our land reform policy and issues of bilateral interest. We are certain that out of those engagements, we will share a better and common understanding over these matters.
The US remains a key strategic political and trade partner for South Africa. With the exception of PEPFAR Aid, which constitutes 17% of South Africa’s HIVAids programme, there is no other funding that is received by South Africa from the United States.
SOUTH AFRICA is a fucking miracle, and BEING SOUTH AFRICAN is a fucking honor and a privilege. Don’t let anyone ever tell you any other nonsense!!!! 🇿🇦💯
