@dr3do You’re right! Apple allows reporting from the Phone (and Messages) app(s) now. We’ve added this option to the next version of Callblock, 2.0. ^olb
(This is our last app update before our next major version, which includes more features – and, probably, a price increase. The price won’t change if you’re already subscribed, though – to try Callblock for free or subscribe at the current price, go to https://t.co/v8MXSvrDjO.)
Using Callblock is science … the app is in Popular Science (see the last paragraph).
(If you haven’t already, you can get Callblock at https://t.co/v8MXSvrDjO.)
Callblock is back with a new version! 1.7 preloads more telemarketing phone numbers and improves background updating to handle recent increases in robocalls (the UI is also shinier now). https://t.co/AauNkgLIKn
@Cambonez 💪 Thank you for the heads-up! (I suspect we’re pushing the directory-size limits that a portion of devices can handle – good for blocking / bad for loading.) ^olb
@Cambonez Hmm, I’m sorry for the trouble! We can’t reproduce (and don’t have any similar reports) so will have to do some troubleshooting …
What does the interface do when you tap to block? And do you know if you subscribed to or bought the app? (Callblock was a paid app at first.)
^olb
@oldarmyaviator You can add telemarketers we’ve missed (and report them for review to improve everyone’s directory) by tapping the “Add caller” button. ^olb
@oldarmyaviator Thanks for trying the app! Callblock ID’d 86.7 percent of calls correctly in our last audit (details at https://t.co/AhPpJDtiw6), but … ^olb
@SuperSteveHixon I’m sorry! I just noticed we hadn’t replied – tap Callblock’s “Add caller” button to add or remove a missing or misclassified caller. ^olb
@ahylianhuman Interesting, are telemarketers facetiming you? (They’d probably sign up by email not phone, though, making call blocking ineffective.) ^olb
