Cú Chulainn - more than just a another ‘tough guy’ myth
He is a central figure in Irish mythology, known for his incredible strength.

Such a shame this wonderful old Dublin pub remains closed since shutting its doors during Covid. So many great nights of music, poetry, friendship and laughter have been passed within its doors. Hope it's back open again soon.
The Lake Isle of Innisfree
How many of us studied this wonderful poem at school.
The Lake Isle of Innisfree evokes a deep longing for peace and a return to nature. This yearning for simplicity and inner peace is something many of us can relate to in today's fast-paced world.
And isn't this why Ireland has the best folk songs in the world...because our ancestors did a terrible amount of suffering.
And none of it through any fault of their own.
Today, we remember the legendary Ronnie Drew, whose deep, gravelly voice became the soulful heart of Irish folk music. As a founding member of The Dubliners, Ronnie's contributions to music were monumental, helping to shape the sound of Irish folk for generations.
RIP Ronnie.
