Last week was Vocations Sunday - here’s a look back at the Provincial Discernment Panel that was held at Gladstone’s Library,.
Yr wythnos diwethaf oedd Sul y Galwadau - dyma olwg yn ôl ar y Panel Dirnadaeth Daleithiol a gynhaliwyd yn Llyfrgell Gladstone.

Heddiw yw Sul y Galwadigaethau - ond beth mae hynny'n ei olygu? Dyma ein Cyfarwyddwr Datblygu Gweinidogaeth, y Parch Ganon Dr Trystan Owain Hughes, i ddweud mwy wrthym!

Great week at the provincial discernment panel of the Church in Wales at Gladstone’s Library, including being part of a film about how the process works. The process is how the Church prays and listens together to see if someone is being called to train to be a priest or deacon.
We talk a lot about strength in ministry… but what about vulnerability? If leaders never show weakness, what kind of leadership are we offering? My new blog post explores why vulnerability might matter far more than we imagine. Please do have a read.

Great article about my book from former BBC Radio 2, Radio 4, and Songs of Praise presenter, Debbie Thrower. In recent years, Thrower founded Anna Chaplaincy, a community-based ministry which offers spiritual and emotional support to older people.

Had a wonderful ministry conference last week. Ministry officers from across Wales came together to share ideas and explore how we can inspire and support new vocations. We left feeling encouraged and hopeful about the future 😊
My latest blog reflects on the importance of teamwork in ministry. I hope it offers something helpful. “Ministry isn’t about perfection. The meaning of ministry is found in its messiness. Perfect harmony does not exist. Faithful presence does.”

Whether you’re reading “To Hell’s Mouth and Back” or not, you might find this series helpful. I’m sharing articles & scripts written since the book’s launch, for personal reflection or group conversation. First post: an article for BRF Ministries on hope.

A real privilege to lead a quiet morning at Bangor Cathedral. Wonderful to reflect together on pilgrimage, suffering and hope. Roedd hi’n fraint go iawn cael arwain bore tawel yng Nghadeirlan Bangor - yn myfyrio gyda’n gilydd ar bererindod, dioddefaint a gobaith.
Roedd fy ngwasanaeth bore ma ar BBC Radio Cymru ar pererindod, dioddefaint a gobaith. Gobeithio fyddwch chi’n mwynhau.
My service this morning on BBC Radio Cymru was based on my pilgrimage, suffering, and hope. Hope you enjoy.

Feeling both delighted and humbled by the wonderfully positive review of To Hell’s Mouth and Back in the Church Times: “This attractive and unusual book aims at a general Christian readership, but digs deep. It’s a good choice as the Archbishop of Wales's recommendation for Lent”
