@amelia_tweetz The ticket prices that fans pay are not the same that you can buy tickets for.
If you follow your national team you get points for each match you attend depending on how difficult it is to get to. Many of them have paid $60 for their tix at the world cup
@CyclingCardiff@lkr Our kids didn’t mind it but we were the first stop on the route so it took a long time… It picked the kids up at 7:45! They were the first stop on the way back though so at least they got home quite early.
@Romy_Holland@KarlSorrells@karma_mao I used to live near a university and they published a database of students by major who were interested in babysitting. I know a lot of parents who would hire the nursing students.
@ShuveeIL@GreenBristolUp@britishmuseum 😭 im moving abroad at the end of September and will be devastated if I don’t get to see it before then. It was a big part of why we remained members.
@Miss_Snuffy However, we do let them use YouTube as long as it’s on the big tv, where everyone can see, for something edifying/educational.
Will this now be a crime for me to put on a science video? Or for them to watch a live space launch? Or for my Y8 to watch revision videos?
@Miss_Snuffy My kids already don’t have access to these apps in an unrestricted way but a full ban feels a bit excessive. Mine don’t have smartphones but they do have time/app restricted tablets that have no social media (it’s blocked at the router).
