Now
She misses the small things
Her name being called from another room
Food being served before she asked
Someone noticing she was tired
Marriage doesn't give her responsibilities
It quietly took away the version of her
Who was once taken care of.
Before marriage,
She had a room that still felt like hers ,
After marriage
She had a house .. but no corner to call her own
And in between
She learned to adjust her voice ,
her choices ,
Her timing .
