"Beyoncé saying she would delay the visuals for this record (#RENAISSANCE) so we can sit and process the music shows that she understands the old school of releasing music. Beyoncé is from a generation where you could release a body of work and get a two, three, four-year lifespan out of a record before moving on to the next projetc. Sitting with an album for that long is how we can grow to appreciate how great a body of work is. When you think of some artist's Greatest Albums such as Thriller, Rhythm Nation, Whitney, or even Beyoncé's debut album (Dangerously In Love) they had long life spans because everything wasn't given to us at once.
The traditional release for a project is Record, Video and Tour, if Beyoncé were to release the RENAISSANCE VISUALS today to the brain of the consumer it would represent the completion or the end of the project and consumers will then move on and ask 'Where's the new record?'; 'Where's the new project?'. Beyoncé wants us to live with this music as we used to and we always have."
