10/10 times I’m always going to bet on me. Not because I have it all together, but because I know who I am. I know they work I put in, and I know what I have bounced back from. It’s really me against me.
You don’t need a traumatic event to teach you positive values (ie. work ethic)… You aren’t a hard worker because of your trauma, you are a hard worker IN SPITE OF your trauma.
Remember at one point you prayed to be here! It may not have shown up in the package that you expected, but it’s yours. Nurture yourself, water yourself, speak well of yourself, because this version of you is worth the absolute best.
Hold on… it gets better! 💜

I will never take the excuse “this is the way I have always been”. No ma’am, no ham, no turkey. If you have always been that way, it’s time to do some work. Nobody should stay the same. We should least be growing, glowing, and getting better. Stagnation should never be the goal.
Listen, I am NOT the same Jyrah I was 2 years ago. I look at old pictures of myself and I’m mind blown. I don’t look the same, dress the same, talk the same, etc. Depression had me unrecognizable to my own self. But chileeee listen… this glow here is different. And I love it!
