Itinuturing na ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) sina Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano, Sen. Robin Padilla, at Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca kaugnay sa pagkawala ni Sen. Bato dela Rosa.
Ayon kay NBI director Melvin Matibag, may pananagutan si Cayetano dahil nasa pangangalaga niya si Dela Rosa noon isailalim sa protective custody ng Senado.
Ipinaliwanag din ng NBI chief na si Padilla ang huling nakasama ni Dela Rosa. Si Aplasca naman daw ang nakakaalam ng mga pagkilos sa Senado.
Nilinaw ni Matibag na hindi sila kinokonsiderang suspek, pero kasama sila sa mga iniimbestigahan.
Itinuturing nang persons of interest ng NBI sina Senate sergeant-at-arms Mao Aplasca, Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano, at Senador Robin Padilla kaugnay ng pagkawala ni Senador Ronald dela Rosa, na nasa protective custody ng Senado.
Tumaas ang boses ni Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano sa press conference nitong Huwebes, May 14, 2026, kasabay ang pagdidiin niya na “under attack” ang Senado.
Kasunod ito sa naganap na pagpapaputok ng baril sa Senado nitong Miyerkules ng gabi.
“Kung tututukan kita ng baril, papasukin ko ang bahay mo na may baril ako, nag-warning shot ka, pinutukan kita pabalik is it not an attack? Sorry ha, but I don’t think there’s any question the Senate was under attack,” saad niya.
