@DefnotComodore @sandman_AP That's not the same thing. People read Viz's line as if Brook is saying that Thriller Bark is their homeland, when that's not what he's saying. He's only saying the West Blue in general is their homeland, and that on familiar soil, they would be at ease.

TCB's line here completely missed the mark. Viz gets the point across, but I'd word it differently. A more natural TL would be "However, for some reason... you harbor a dangerous, self-destructive streak/tendency.".

@3SkullJoe It's written as ドウザン (douzan) not Dozan, or Dosan. The only standard, native Japanese vocabulary word that make up the reading of どうざん is 銅山 which means Copper Mine, literally translating to Copper Mountain.
