Nico O’Reilly and Myles Lewis-Skelly are the perfect example of the difference between Pep and Arteta

In the case of Lewis-Skelly, he broke through a season ago and immediately looked like one of the biggest wonderkids on the planet. However one year later and he has stagnated. Still doing the same things, same responsibilities, same mistakes etc.

Meanwhile O’Reilly came through as an Attacking Midfielder and within a year Pep had transformed him into one of the most promising LBs in Europe.

Now once again it seems he has a new role as an 8. But it’s this constant challenging from Pep. Pushing his players to keep evolving.

Mikel Arteta doesn’t do that and it’s part of the reason we’ve not won the league yet.
