To everyone complaining that wearing a mask takes away your freedom, not wearing a mask robs someone else of theirs. The old saying "your right to swing your first ends at my face" is perfect. Don't wear the mask, fine, but don't make someone else deal with your selfish choices.
I'm all for hot takes but "I work at Oxford University and don't want us to succeed in developing a vaccine" is just nuclear furnace levels of hot.

@youngvulgarian Sounds to me like its time to hire a flunky. I'll send you my CV, but want to say upfront that while I WILL accept payment in restaurant tabs, I won't accept any criticism of my entirely unresearched opinions on things.
@FloraEGill Just lean into new-age solutions and order 1,000 rolls off of @AmazonUK. It'll be delivered in a day and you don't need to practice MMA to fight off thousands of infected fools.
@annewitha_e@SkyNews@BBCNews As far as I understand it they need to use them a certain number of times a year or lose them. That's why we got that classic footage of Priti Patel's car driving down the motorway last year on the way to Downing Street to get fired.
The idea that people are not buying a product because someone they don't like uses it is insane. "I saw Priti Patel driving a Toyota, so I've burnt my family car to ash in the driveway. That'll teach them!"
Honestly, I give up, go drink worse tea.
So it's been a rough weekend.
On Friday, the Chancellor shared a photo of our tea. Politicians do that sometimes (Jeremy Corbyn did it in 2017). We weren't asked or involved - and we said so the same day. Lots of people got angry with us all the same.
@PolhomeEditor Every time I see a political hashtag trending on Twitter I know the target is doomed. #YouthQuake on election day and #YangGang on the day @AndrewYang resigned are good examples.
Turns out shouting at people who already think the same as you do doesn't win many votes...who knew?
@AlexanderJB89 @joshglendinning Trump smiled down at the badger in his arms, tears in his eyes, "Badger, I think I love you." The truth was, Trump just needed to love himself all along."
