We’re closely following the GTA 6 physical release situation over the next 24 hours. We’ve yet to receive full details on our end, but assuming information about it being a code in box is true, we will not be supporting the release of GTA 6.

When we started LBG, it was out of a love for our favorite form of media, gaming, as-well as the preservation of said media. If a product can’t honor the people who pay their hard earned money to purchase it, then we have no business trying to sell it to our customers whom we value above anything else.

Have Rockstar just killed future physical disc game releases!?

GTAVI will only come with a download code in the physical box release.

This type of release could easily catch on to other publishers from next year. Maybe it saves them disc producing costs, who knows!

But the worry is not only rising game prices, but we could quite quickly be moving into a reality where no matter what type of gamer you are, it is vital to have internet connectivity and with that - super fast internet speeds to download games.
Furthermore, the magic of keeping a physical game fades away.

@IGN This isnt physical, its a damned box with a digital copy. Very dissapointed in rockstar with this approach. for people like myself who can afford gaming by reselling physical....its alienating us, and not a good play gaming in general.
