He did we’re just extremely corrupt at every level and institution. We’ve got to a point where rich people are above the law. We live in an oligarchy point blank.
This sort of story is reported in 1990 public sentiment would be too overwhelming to ignore
He did. We as a society have just decided that Watergate-level scandals no longer require any sort of accountability when the people caught up in them are rich enough.
Pablo stans taking THIS tweet so personally is kinda ironic.
This whole campaign started with really effective, concise journalism & then morphed into a smear campaign where even supremely professional Clipper reporters like Farbod are catching strays for no reason.
Comical.
And it kind of highlights just how so far gone and silly this has all become and why we need to wrap this up.
We’ve got the NBA attacking the credibility of ESPN, Momo, Shams, Baxter, and Marks all of whom contributed to that reporting in various capacities.
They sound crazy
This is great work, hope folks are watching. Plus actually asking for someone to fact check his work vs running with the narrative? Its almost as if....nevermind
Need real journalists out there to cross-check some of what Pablo has been pushing on his narratives. If this podcaster wearing a Clippers hat could see clear inconsistencies, I'm sure they could. Were we giving Pablo too much credit & assuming he was accurate with his framing?
The funniest thing about this ESPN/Clippers story is that all the people who have been applauding “great sports journalism” when faced with great sports journalism by 4 of the most credible sources in the league
choose not to believe it. Now they are questioning sources?! GTFO
If the NBA truly put out a statement refuting a report, solely because they wanted to release information on their terms (as many are suggesting), that’s going to be another awful look for the league.
“Numerous and significant inaccuracies” is strong language. And borderline irresponsible if wrong.
We’ll see what comes of this, but given how much criticism the NBA has already faced for the handling of this investigation, I’d be surprised if they ignited a petty war with ESPN over announcement timing.
Again, we’ll see. This entire saga couldn’t be more bizarre.
Four of the most credible sources in the league: the best insider, ESPN’s best LA-connected reporter, their best legal reporter and their best investigative reporter.
And I’m supposed to believe they didn’t have facts? 😂 Meanwhile, you’re willing to treat circumstantial evidence and assumptions as proof.
The irony is incredible. GTFOH.
The degree to which a report of that magnitude has to be fact checked, makes Brass calling cap on ESPN’s reporting flat out laughable.
It’s 2026 a bombshell sports report from ESPN’s senior writers is not getting green lit without nailing down the facts.
The sports biz accounts "winning" right now are the ones posting the most clickbait they can come up with. Nothing else. Just whatever the algo rewards that day.
I've watched my own tweets, ones I didn't even like, blow up. Then the ones I actually cared about reach nobody. Tells you it isn't really about what's good. It's about playing the game.
Something's big off with sports x social.
So does Pablo Torre get any fine , backlash, sued or fired for Trying to ruin people’s reputation/ life or Pablo can just say oops my bad and sweep it under the rug 🧐🤔🧐🤔 smh
Clippers have already been declared “guilty” in the court of public opinion which is all that he wanted/needed and his entire purpose.
He does not care about who it harms, he does not care about cap circumvention, this all about personal gain. He’s already won.
@calmronin He landed on a story, fine.
But he went about this in such a wack way & it became clear real quick what his intentions were.
In the event that there isn’t an adequate punishment given, the big bad billionaire gets out of trouble & he’s still applauded for his efforts.
