@BBCRadioScot Hi Bryan, has anyone suggested Shania Twain's That Don't Impress Me Much? It mentions Brad Pitt. Then there's Queen's Flash Gordon. Does that count? Lamb curry and a wee beer for dinner๐
@StuartHumphryes It has very much a sense of the Cottingley Fairies photos. Not in the sense that those were faked, but the sense of dreamy, otherworldliness. It's great.
I've #justsponsored Refuweegee Team, who are fundraising for Refuweegee on @JustGiving. They are amazing people doing amazing things for people newly arrived in Scotland.

@BBCRadioScot Hi Bryan & Miss B, Young Hearts Run Free is a great song whose upbeat feel is in contrast to its message:
"What's the sense in sharing, this one and only life
Endin' up, just another lost and lonely wife"
Enjoy your independence and freedom while you can!
@BBCRadioScot 2/2 The other is that the Sicilian playwright Nino Martoglio, presented with such a tasty dish, exclaimed "It's a Norma!", indicating its supreme goodness and comparing it to the famous work of Vincenzo Bellini despite being several decades from its 1st performance. ๐ฎ๐น
@BBCRadioScot Re Gnocchi alla Norma, there are 2 theories, both connected to the opera Norma by Vincenzo Bellini. One is that a Sicilian chef redeveloped a traditional dish to celebrate the premiere at La Scala in 1831. 1/2
@BBCRadioScot Hi Bryan, haven't heard Hazell Dean's Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go) in years, it's always her other hit Searchin' that gets airtime.
My wife's out tonight so I'm treating myself to a wee fish supper and total command of the TV remote control, woohoo!๐
@BBCRadioScot A couple more, if I may:
"My Wife Ran Off With My Best Friend, And I Sure Do Miss Him" by Wayne Carter
"If The Phone Donโt Ring, Youโll Know Itโs Meโ by Jimmy Buffett
And the cleverly titled โYou Canโt Have Your Kate And Edith, Tooโ by The Statler Brothers
@BBCRadioScot Evening Bryan, it has to be Did I Shave My Legs For This?, or Drop Kick Me, Jesus, Through The Goal Posts of Life. Country artists always come up with the best titles.๐
Homemade fish cakes for tea.
@BBCRadioScot Evening Bryan, Shania Twain wants to know Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under? so that should fit the bill. Pan-fried salmon with a wee caprese salad for tea.
@BBCRadioScot There's not often many jazz suggestions made so I'm going to propose the fabulous Nina Simone with I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free. Your, erm, older listeners will recognize it as the theme tune used for Barry Norman's Film series in the '70s. Pizza Romano for tea.
@BBCRadioScot Can we really be 90 minutes into the the show and nobody's mentioned Paint Your Wagon?!
Spoiled for choice with Wanderin' Star, or Hand Me Down That Can of Beans, or better still, Clint Eastwood singing I Talk to the Trees.
Baked haddock in a leek and cheese sauce for tea.
@BBCRadioScot Hi Bryan, have we done counts yet? If not, a great Sammy Davis Jr record is You Can Count on Me. It has an awesome drum intro that everyone will recognize.
Squash, chorizo & sweet pepper salad for tea.
@BBCRadioScot Hi Bryan, '80s electropop is it?
Then it *has* to be the night you actually play Male Stripper by Man2Man, it's so good. ๐ It's been a joke in our house for years that I suggest it for nearly every theme and it never gets played. ๐
