a 22 year old kid DMed me last month
"how do i get clients"
i said: send 500 LinkedIn DMs a day for 30 days. personalise each one. follow up 3 times. that's it.
he said: "that sounds like a lot of work"
he's now 30 days older with zero clients
the kid who actually did it booked 19 meetings and closed 3 at $2k/mo
outbound is not complicated people just don't want to do the boring part
building a business from Cape Town while competing against Silicon Valley startups with $10M in funding is the most humbling and clarifying thing you can do
because when your competitors can outspend you 100 to 1, you have to outwork and out-think them 100 to 1
you can't buy distribution.
you have to earn it.
message by message.
DM by DM.
call by call.
and when you win a client against a VC-backed competitor with 40 employees, it hits different
because you know they didn't lose to a better product
they lost to someone who was hungrier
hiring an SDR is a $70k prayer
3 months to ramp 50 DMs a day they leave after a year you start the prayer again
or you just use software that sends 5,000 DMs a month
and books the meeting for you
from $497/mo
your call
Inbound is a retirement plan.
If you're pre $1M ARR and waiting for leads to come to you, you're hoping your way out of business.
Outbound is a tap you can turn on tomorrow.
Cold outbound didn't die.
People just got lazy and called it dead.
Mass blasting generic templates is dead.
Sending a specific message to the right person about their exact problem?
That's still booking calls every week.

@WaldronLewis Totally agree, it's about real engagement and quality interactions! A small but active community can make a way bigger impact than a ghost town of followers. Numbers don't tell the whole story at all.
Crazy that people flex followers.
There are literally accounts of 100,000 followers and can generate barely any replies off our organic posts.
There are accounts of less than 1,000 generated in thousands of views.
Followers are meaningless if those followers do not get any reach.

looking at my calendar like this and thinking...
while you're manually sending 10 LinkedIn messages a day, I've built outbound MACHINES that book 30+ qualified meetings on autopilot.
