Shouting transphobic nonsense into a public microphone the very opposite of this. Think about what you're saying and the impact it will have on those around you. 3/3
Absolutely appalled to hear a 'Christian' street preacher on the Moor just now claiming that people who are transgender are the cause of all the country's current ills. Whatever our views on gender critical theory or self-ID, I hope we all agree the transgender community is...1/3
... no more responsible for the state of the country - good or bad - than any of the rest of us. Those claiming to preach the gospel would do well to remember that one of Jesus's first commandment was to love our neighbours as ourselves. 2/3
@djstimms @MrTomFrench @sheffieldtrib We see this time and again with the council, where consultation is deemed to have been done well based on if they've asked for input, and not based on if they've had an adequate response from all the key groups and stakeholders involved. This is what needs to change 4/4
@djstimms @MrTomFrench @sheffieldtrib framework to measure what is important, not what's easy to track regardless of whether it really matters or not. The real problem is the underrepresentation of key groups in the consultation, including many groups who are more reliant on the services the council provides 3/4
@djstimms @MrTomFrench @sheffieldtrib I think that's perhaps a misunderstanding of the process. It's a legitimate approach to split the goal setting and the target setting - often you will set a goal first and then develop good quality measurable indicators later. This ensures your designing your monitoring 1/2
@djstimms @MrTomFrench @sheffieldtrib The insight report certainly suggests the goals have broad overall support: https://t.co/7b61XoBRFV What's missing is a set of timely and measurable indicators to go with them, but surely that's the role of each organisation who's been part of the process to set for themselves?
@MrTomFrench @SheffCredtUnion A second hand electric bus is about Β£350,000. The rest would be for initial costs like paying a driver, getting space at a depo or setting one up, insurance, etc. it's obviously a lot, but it's far from impossible.
@MrTomFrench @SheffCredtUnion I will have to find the figures I came up with last time I looked, but I think the answer is 'yes'. It might be possible to find via a mix of local authority funding and settling up a CIC and selling community shares
A massive congratulations to Sabiha for winning the Sheffield Youth Voice Mental Health and Wellbeing Champion Award for her local and national work ending period poverty and shame. π #EveryPeriodCounts @irise_int @shipshapewell@AasmaDay

@RuthMilsom @emble64 It's only have a job to say there's insufficient resources. If that's the case we've got to find a way of reducing costs and/or increasing investment. We need a bold vision to be able to meet the challenges the city faces, be that road safety, quality homes, or anything else
