Calvin Wolfgang Bickerstaff was unhittable out of the bullpen in last night's Greenville Drive extra-inning loss- 4 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K, 61 pitches. One of the walks was intentional. The 24-year-old righty currently owns a 0.60 ERA over 15 IP with 15 K/4 BB and a 0.67 WHIP.

Calvin Bickerstaff (awesome name) earned his second win of the season for Greenville today with a strong appearance out of the bullpen- 3.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K, 49 pitches. The 24-year-old righty has a 0.82 ERA over 11 innings with 9 K/2 BB.

Pretty neat situation tonight in the minors where not only did Steubenville alum Calvin Bickerstaff toss 3.1 shutout innings in his debut for Boston's high-class A affiliate Greenville, but Weir High alum Reid Hoover was 1 of the 2 umpires in this series and game.

Multiple pitchers were more than good enough to win this award in a normal month, but you can call Calvin Bickerstaff "Will Ospreay" because he was on another level (bruv) in June.

Bickerstaff made four appearances out of the bullpen for Salem. The right-handed pitcher posted a 0.87 ERA, .194 BAA, and 0.97 WHIP in 10 1/3 innings. He struck out 10 batters and only walked three.

Bickerstaff has looked fantastic in a limited time with Salem over the last two seasons. The 23-year-old could be due for a promotion to High-A soon.
