Harvest 2023: Better late than never! The first grapes to come in are bunches of Pinot Noir, but rather than making "red, red, wine," these grapes will be made into our delicious white pinot.
We're so excited for the wonderfully complex flavors this cool summer has given us!
See you this weekend, Wine Club Members! We're busy getting everything prepped and ready for the pickup party this Saturday. 🍷

#FBF: Pinot Noir has been in the Schug family for a century! It was always Walter’s love – he grew up on a Pinot Noir estate in Germany, & produced Pinot Noir for Joseph Phelps before making his inaugural Schug Pinot Noir in 1980. 🍇

#FBF In 1989, Gertrud & Walter Schug found their property in the Carneros AVA in Sonoma. They purchased the Meyer Ranch at the end of Bonneau Road & planted Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines. The construction of the iconic post-and-beam winery was completed in 1991! ✨ #SchugWinery
We were honored to host Ralf Frenzel, the managing editor of the German wine magazine “FINE” with journalist Rainer Schaefer & photographer Johannes Grau. We opened & tasted our very first vintage for them, the 1980 Heinemann Mountain Pinot Noir, which was youthful & complex! 🍇
✨ #FBF: Walter, his wife Gertrud and their hildren admire the Pinot Noir vines in the Heinemann Mountain Vineyard that went into the Joseph Phelp Pinot Noir until 1979. In 1980, the Heinemann Mountain Vineyard grapes went into Schug's inaugural Pinot Noir! 🍇 #SchugWinery
@robertjoseph I remember booking single occupancy and on many occasions, only one half of the „Ehebett“ bed was made up (this was years ago - not sure it’s still done).
Join Claudia Schug of @schugwinery at noon on Saturday for a Virtual Tasting experience by way of ZOOM. The experience is $39 for one 375ml bottle each of Carneros Chardonnay and Carneros Pinot Noir. Also included… https://t.co/sAvmMlGmy9
