“The way they play as a team is beneath the defending champions… it’s not fun to watch and they don’t need to do it.”
@getnickwright has had enough of the Thunder’s flopping
I swear the God i try and see the good that he does. But the more i watch the more i think that dude is one of the fakest superstars of all time. Like 70% of his points are either push offs or FTs. If he had a regular whistle...
Love watching people list off everything Jokic did this season, acknowledging leading in rebounds and assists (which is insane) while scoring 27.7 per game, then just say, “well, SGA has a nice jumper, give it to him.” He isn’t even the scoring leader. What are we doing here?
Wait a minute @KevinOConnor you dinged Jokic for not improving the Nuggets defense 'enough' but did not ding SGA for the Thunder's defense being WORSE with him on the floor...? How does that make sense?
There have been over 1.4 million total 10-game spans by players in NBA history, including playoffs.
In none of them did a player have as many points, rebounds and assists as Nikola Jokić during the @nuggets' current 10-game winning streak (252 points, 145 rebounds, 127 assists).
It’s interesting that Jokic is currently the most efficient high-volume scorer in the NBA (vs top 5 defenses as well), leading the NBA in assist and rebounds with the biggest on/off swing in the NBA while leading the best offense ever and people wonder what his MVP argument is.
They can give SGA the MVP again if they want but he ain’t the MVP. He is the best player on the best team. That has to be your definition of most valuable player to vote SGA 🤷♂️
The run Joker has been on over the last 5yrs specifically is berserk.
Nikola Jokić has 19 games this season in which he hit Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s season-long averages for points, rebounds and assists.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has 0 games this season in which he hit Nikola Jokić’s season-long averages for points, rebounds and assists.
Imagine averaging 27.9 PPG, 12.9 RPG, and 10.8 APG on 67.4% TS — and finishing 4th in the MVP race.
Jokić is on pace to become the first player in NBA HISTORY to lead the league in rebounds AND assists.
He’s actually averaging more PTS, REB, and AST than he did in his last MVP season.
This is one of the craziest MVP races in history.
