If Hasan Piker and Bernie Sanders were actual socialists, they’d practice what they preach.
Hasan is sitting on an estimated $8–35 million (higher estimates include his multi-year Twitch contract) and lives in a $2.74 million West Hollywood house he bought in 2021. Bernie is worth $2–3 million with multiple homes.
None of them have given any meaningful portion of their personal wealth “to the people.” It’s all talk about hating a system that made them tens of millions while they enjoy the spoils. Don’t buy the performance.

More “sarcasm” and “hyperbole” from years ago? Some things you can’t unsay. Some things go beyond sarcasm.
It’s suddenly inconvenient that he’s out there campaigning for candidates, but you can’t spend years saying this many heinous things and then just claim you never meant any of it.

On 9/11 and U.S. foreign policy
• 2019 Twitch stream: “America deserved 9/11, dude. Fuck it, I’m saying it. … We fucking totally brought this upon ourselves, dude. … We did. We fucking did.”
Context: Critiquing U.S. interventions and support for groups in the Middle East as blowback that contributed to the attacks. He later called the wording inappropriate, clarified he did not mean ordinary Americans deserved to die, and framed it as satire about government policy.
