Beydoun’s Connections to Whitmer:

- Longtime Democratic donor, tens of thousands directly to Whitmer campaigns
- Hosted a 2021 fundraiser for Whitmer at her home
- Appointed by Whitmer to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation executive board in 2019, the same body overseeing aspects of the grant

Misuse of Funds

- $550,000 annual salary to Beydoun as CEO.
- $4,500 coffee machine
- $11,000 first-class plane ticket to Budapest
- Tunisian rugs and high salaries for limited staff with little documented program delivery

A letter drafted in Beydoun’s name but signed and sent by Whitmer to Qatari officials encouraged them to communicate with Beydoun via “off the record channels.”
