This scandal is so disgusting, so outrageous, that those who facilitated must not be allowed to get away with it.

Israel claimed al-Shifa Hospital was "the main headquarters for Hamas’ terrorist activity".

This claim was used to justify attacking the hospital and slaughtering doctors, nurses and patients.

Several Western journalists, commentators and media outlets facilitated this lie.

In doing so they helped justify Israel's assaults on multiple healthcare facilities, and its killing and kidnapping of medical staff.

Well as this Washington Post investigation shows, it was all based on a lie.

A lie which was used to justify a monstrous war crime.

I have been trying to reach my family in Gaza for hours with no success. All telecommunications and internet have been cut, while Israeli strikes is literally destroying Gaza from air land and sea. How many more innocent people: children, parents and grandparents will be murdered before the world steps in?

A few seconds saved my nephew Ammar, 8, from being killed today. An Israeli bomb struck a residential building that contained a shop in south of #Gaza, where he was going to buy bread along with other children who had been forcibly displaced from the north for their “safety”. This is the kind of war crime the US and UK are enabling with their “unequivocal” support for Israel. Unconscionable, immoral and illegal. Our people will not allow for a second #Nakba. The UK and the international community need to ensure protection for Palestinian civilians, since the occupying power is clearly intent on more mass killing and destruction. Enough!
