Being an "understanding person" is the worst kind of thing. i repeat worst. You have to understand people's situations, their problems, their traumas. But when it comes to you, you will scream alone. Absolutely alone.
At this point I know it’s others and their lack of comfort with tension, hard conversations. That’s no longer my responsibility to help ppl thru. I’m done addressing ppls problems..towards me
And I can’t throw anyone a bone. I’ve communicated that standard in all of my friendships, everyone knows they can come to me, everyone knows ima listen before I get offended. I practice that and it’s been tested.
True. Personally, I’m always the fighter, the one willing to have a hard conversation. Willing to address things. Not anymore. If there’s friction in any relationships of mine. Friction is what it will be until others develop the same social skills I have. Done fighting
We’ve lost the art of fighting for friendships, relationships, or simply people worth fighting for. Everyone seems to be wearing their ego on their sleeves.
Date your type.
Don’t come over here experimenting with me when you already know I’m not what you usually go for. I’m not your “let me see what this is like” woman. I’m not your temporary curiosity, your change of pace, or your little detour before you go back to what you really wanted.
If I’m not your type, that’s perfectly fine. Just leave me where I am.
Because I’m looking for someone who sees me and knows, “Yep, that’s my woman.” Not someone trying to convince themselves to like me. 😭
I wanted to say you mad because I dodged that shyt bitch but then I woulda made it worse 😂
And no I couldn’t have just said no. Why because I already did and he still pressed harder, got closer and started rubbing my arm. 😂 bitch u begging why do that to yourself.
I’ll never forget when the men caught on and started calling the fake numbers in front of you. 😂I’ve never had a drink poured on me but i almost did that night. Lmao I’m laughing now but it was a memory for the books.
I was looking for this response. All in all I understand the post. I think ppl/usually men who think from this angle are coming from a place of privilege. The opposite sex for you, isn’t as threatening as the opposite sex is for me. I’ve def laughed my way out of scary situations
Being polite to someone who flirts with you is not the same as inviting them to continue. Women are socialised to manage other people's discomfort and punished when they do not. A smile to end an awkward interaction is not a negotiation of loyalty. The full weight of this dynamic sits with the man who started it, not the woman deciding in real time how to navigate it safely...
