Are NFTs mid-curve this cycle?

My Opinion -

We likely won't see the same type of NFT mania as we did last cycle, but that doesn't mean there are no good buys/holds or profits to be made.

Personally, I am focusing largely on pre-token NFTs (largely) gaming NFTs - this is because there are clear catalysts (tokens) and often go overlooked. The hottest token rounds are closing in just a few days and most people will only get access through the NFTs.

If you can identify those hot projects and wait for post-mint dips (look at @PlayOverTrip & @Kiraversegame and how they performed right after mint)

For ex. just holding assets like @GetBlockGames @playchronoforge @Revolving_Games @Pixelmon feels super + EV to me.

I would also feel comfortable holding assets that seem to continually get rewarded with airdrops (Lads, Pudgy, DeGods, etc.)

Beyond that, I'm looking to add to bags of ecosystem leaders on non-ETH L1 ecosystems such as

Solana - @MadLads @Claynosaurz @tensor_hq
AVAX - @dokyoworld
Polygon - @plutomisfits @Dew_HQ
SUI - @FuddiesNFT @DeSuiLabs

Also looking at stuff on L2s (Base, Blast), but less clear to me who the winners are atm.

the thesis is - these NFT ecosystems are less crowded, and as the retail community grows, they will want to find communities / PFPs to rally around.

Lastly, low execution risk on-chain art. To me, Ordinals largely fall into this category. There is no need for any "roadmap," just community, art, provenance, and the inevitable liquidity wave on Bitcoin.

Beyond that, I am fading 99% of "IP" plays unless I feel they are a top .1% of projects/teams and I can actually see some progress towards mainstream adoption. To me, this list is quite small and basically headlined by @pudgypenguins & @Claynosaurz.

TLDR - I don't see a huge basket bid coming (except Ordinals), so I'm only looking to hold exposure to the categories that can outperform.

@SuiNetwork 💧on a metric for rate of innovation and new contributions to web3 is by far in the top tier.
