To NS students, parents, teachers & staff. There are tons of CoVID infections around. NS Pediatricians strongly recommend we continue masking till school ends in 4 weeks. Protect yourselves, your classmates & teachers, your parents & family. Our healthcare system is strained.
It’s NOT okay to have a policing response to a housing crisis EVER let alone in a pandemic (yes, that’s still going on). Past good works done by the HRP community liaisons got belittled today. Very sad.
Scrambling to find meds for my patient after she goes for an appointment to come back and find her things (including meds) gone. Turning this into a policing matter directly adversely affected the health of many today. Thx to agencies and people like @needleexchange2 for help
Shock. Anger. Disappointment. Sadness. Fear. Disbelief. A great many feelings today in HRM with the removal of temporary housing tents and sheds. A disproportionate response that is not in the interest of health. @HfxRegPolice@MikeSavageHFX
I’m a Pediatrician = ❤️👶🏽🧑🏻👩🏾. I have worked in Children’s Hospitals, on medivac teams and now in the North. These are my thoughts on what we are facing with #Delta going into the fall
Yes, Amazon workers did pay for this - with lower wages, union busting, a frenzied and inhumane workplace, and delivery drivers not having health insurance during a pandemic.
And Amazon customers are paying for it with Amazon abusing their market power to hurt small business.

Athanasius “Tanas” Sylliboy, Nurse Practitioner, is part of our way forward. Nova Scotians 12 and up can book their vaccination appointment at https://t.co/2c6wxQczo9
Camryn, age 12, received her #COVID19 vaccine at the Yarmouth Community Vaccine Clinic and surprised her immunizer with a note and gift. She wanted to show her appreciation to the health care workers who have been working hard. Book your vaccine: https://t.co/wcCAYoNhFW
While we celebrate 50% of Canadians receiving their first dose, we must never neglect our global responsibility. We might be able to go for brunch this summer with friends, but in some parts of the world the unjust suffering, isolation and death will continue at alarming rates.
Global vaccine equity is more than altruism. If cases stay high, particularly in places with low vaccine uptake, we will endanger vaccine effectiveness long term by generating more significant variants that have reduced susceptibility to vaccine. Look up, Canada. #bigpicture
this is such an important topic & I am honoured to have a platform where I can share my experiences and talk about how detrimental our current sexual health curriculum is to LGBTQ2S* folks!
(It’s also been a lifelong dream of mine to have an op-ed published, so that’s cool❤️)
We sit down with a representative from @jackdotorg a Canadian charity that trains & empowers young leaders to revolutionize mental health across the country. https://t.co/2MdhBYbvCV
#TheWorldNeeds more people willing to call in, rather than call out, those who don't understand #MentalHealth.
Next week, we're heading to a summit filled with people who call in - the #GlobalMHSummit in London! We can't wait to join the conversation!
