Algeria knocked the ball around midfield and Austria watched them.

The fans were screaming and whistling because they could see neither team was really playing.

They’re professionals and people paid thousands of dollars to watch that match.

They have to actually play the game.

I’ve thought a lot about that match last night between Austria and Algeria.

I don’t have a problem with the 3-3 draw, which sent them both through to the Round of 32.

My issue is the way the game was played between 70’ and 90’.

@ZachNagel7 It’s the atmosphere. The bands. The connection you have to the University (assuming you went there). You don’t get that in the NFL.

@JerryTsunami1 @BrandonThurston It was also the first of its kind face vs face main event. I was just getting into wrestling at the time (Ultimate Warrior was my favorite), and having Ultimate Warrior vs Hulk Hogan title for title was a massive draw.

@CollegeFBonX I was at that game. I’m a BG grad and took my nephew. He was 8 at the time. It was his first Michigan game. We thought it would be a guaranteed win for Michigan. He played football at the time, and it was a very interesting conversation about motivation on the way home.
