My other accounts have disappeared off TweetDeck, which is apparently now a paid feature. That's it, @elonmusk, gone. Enjoy ruining this shithole platform, not that much further to go.
@australian We have to rebuild TAFE after the Coalition's wholesale destructive 'reform' that left people priced out of trades and tens of thousands with worthless certificates first.
@ConversationEDU@ElizabethEnglez@Griffith_Uni A salutary lesson for anyone who thinks corporate regulation is overdone - this is the kind of thing you get when business is left to their own devices.
@FinancialReview And yet it's foreign students who cram many more people into a standard rental than we would. Perhaps Unis need to build some more accommodation on their sprawling campuses themselves.
@TheEconomist You don't see obesity among those hundreds of thousands of African children dying of easily preventable diseases like malaria. How about we leave the self-inflicted harm to itself and prioritise medical help for them?
@abcnews Apparently cutting immigration will expand our workforce so we can build more housing. Also no-one mentions the Coalition's all-out destructive 'reform' of TAFE, which priced people out of trades and left tens of thousands of others with worthless certificates.
Once again employer groups are advocating for a cut in real incomes in the minimum wage case. They're advocating for 2% to 2.8%. Quarterly inflation in 2024 is 3.8%. They really need to stop doing this if they want any credibility.

@TheEconomist Any more of this obsession with being immersed in watching the mundane and we're going to disappear up our own arseholes. Civilisations have fallen for less widespread indulgences.
Dutton's plan for slower economic growth and more insecure work is an ill-conceived, populist attention grab. Migration drives growth and provides needed skills.
