I'm doing a 50% off Black Friday sale, but really, whether you care or not, just go to the site, close the fake window, and interact with the plugin demo. I put a lot of effort into trying to be hilarious and not enough people stumble across it.

I launched GuideGuide for #aftereffects *checks watch* probably a decade after its relevance, but better late than never. There's still no great built in guide option for managing guides in After Effects, so why not.
After putting it off for years, it took all of about three hours to build it ๐. I realize I'm trying to squeeze blood from a stone but embracing dying niche markets is kinda my thing.
Itโs curious how Sketch seems to be growing, but plugins quietly died years ago. I looked at the numbers and only had 1-2 daily paid users. It's just not worth the technical debt to support the decaying libraries required to keep limping along.
I've decided to discontinue the Sketch version of GuideGuide. Theyโve abandoned their plugin infrastructure and I donโt have enough Sketch users to make keeping it functioning worth the trouble.

It appears @FastSpring deactivated my store without warning, so it currently isn't possible to buy GuideGuide. While I wait 1-3 business days for a response๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ, let's make the best of the situation.
Anyone can use the license key 1234-1234-1234-1234-1234 until this gets resolved.
True story: I've been telling customers the behavior in Illustrator is as designed for years. Even had a well written explanation for why it is how it is. This week I looked at the code and foundโฆ
// TODO: This is only half implemented, it should add canvas guides too.

GuideGuide in Figma, Illustrator, and InDesign just got a new setting: Guide Mode. Pick whether to use page/artboard guides or canvas/spread guides.

If you've been annoyed with artboard locked guides in Illustrator, you're going to be thankful for this.
As is of course the case, I found a way to resolve it โย "offloading" the app via the iOS storage settings seems to have purged what I assume was corrupt local data. After reinstalling things are functioning again.
@onegamewill Hello! I've been loving Wildfrost on iOS but after the latest update the game crashes when trying to resume. There's no way to abandon, so it's unplayable. Is there a place to file bug reports?
Been out of the illustration game a while, but the @flipper_cloud folks (who I worked with at GitHub) asked if I'd do an "octocat style" version of their dolphin mascot.
The guys at @syntaxfm were kind enough to have me on to talk about my time doing octocats, being a creative director, and building plugins for design software. I don't *think* I embarrassed myself, but I'll let you be the judge.

With this latest launch, I've built GuideGuide for 6 different apps in 8 different software stacks over the last 13 years.
Each plugin system has its aggravating quirks, but Figma has been โ by far โ the most pleasant, ergonomic experience of them all.
Figma's plugin playground files are pretty cool. For this launch I used mine as the template for a screencast about how GuideGuide works.

I'm going to try an experiment to get more people to hear about GuideGuide. I'm offering a free additional year on the license of anyone that creates tutorial content that involves GuideGuide. Figma is ideal, but any version qualifies:

Well, I submitted GuideGuide to Figma for review out of an abundance of caution. Didn't want to risk the 5โ10 day approval timeline not lining up with launch.
They approved it in about an hour. Good problems to have, I suppose.
