@hartramsey I’m not labeling you homophobic. Thanks for explaining your position. I don’t unfollow people just because we see things differently. You seem like a good preacher and your words have a powerful affect on people who listen to you, including LGBTQ people in your community.

I get/share the outrage over the fact @realDonaldTrump has turned the WH into a reality show set and the government into an arm of his campaign.
But I’d also bet that this means little to most voters, who have bigger concerns and, wrongly, assume that this is normal.
Always worth remembering that the changes happening at universities—the renaming of buildings, the taking down of statues—happens bc student activists have been fighting for this for years & often decades. Many graduated long ago, but the changes today are because of their work.
Be careful rejoicing about the failure of Trump’s rally. If the racism he is selling & the promises he made to corporate gluttony distract us from the work we need to do to reconstruct democracy, he still wins w/ a half-empty stadium.
I've said this before, but for all the people who believe you definitely would have been abolitionists in the era of slavery, who you are today is who you would have been then. You don't need to imagine scenarios of living in the 19th century, there's work to do here and now.
There is something theologically fitting about Trump holding aloft a closed bible before a shuttered church he cannot enter. It is a book he doesn't read & a structure dedicated to something he can't understand that preaches a narrow way he entirely opposes in all he says & does.
