I honestly don't know if I have an answer to any of these questions! I do want to see Bad Bunny as an advocate for women & LGBTQ folks. 1/2

I also wonder about the role of people bringing knowledge back to communities, especially when trying to make a community more inclusive.

I noticed that many Asian languages represented in the census and its ads are Asian ethnic groups that have historically benefited most from the model minority myth 1/2

I love how these quotes capture the way that bilingualism inevitably intersects with race, power, and specifically, disability.

Language learning or even experiencing media in another language requires a level of vulnerability, connection, & empathy that can nurture an asset-based view of multilingualism
