Just watched @abcnews and was pretty disappointed to see no mention whatsoever of the damages and significant livestock losses that Kimberley pastoralists have experienced with these floods.
@lovinglimbo@abcnews You’d think they’d be a lot more wildlife on our pastoral properties than there is in the towns though so that logic doesn’t really make sense.
Yesterday we saw cattle loss, we saw buildings on our property go under and we watched helplessly as our son’s pony got swept away by a raging river only 20m from our house. Today we go back to our homestead not knowing what we’re going to find.
My last YLEN AGM as secretary on the committee is over and I’m so thankful to the organisation for all that I’ve learnt over the last two years and for the amazingly inspirational people I’ve worked alongside.
I can’t wait to see what the new YLEN committee achieves #ylenatwork
We’re wanting to get updated station maps of all our paddocks, new water points and fence lines ect. Does anyone know who does this? Located in the Kimberly.
