our agent launched on december 17, and let’s be real…the little guy’s brain was a complete chaos at first. completely blind, no senses, and thinking bored apes were still the meta. fast forward just one month, and fungi’s brain is transforming into a living encyclopedia of the entire DeFi universe. equipped with its own database, constantly expanding with new data sources, on track to become the most knowledgeable entity in all of DeFi.

the mission is clear, and we’re right on track: @FungiAgent is here to become everyone’s DeFi friend. from curious newcomers taking their first step into the space to full-time degenerates chasing the best insights, fungi is built to spark curiosity and simplify the complex.

✅ we’ve built an internal database for fungi agent to extract information with maximum efficiency. by integrating @DefiLlama, fungi can now pull detailed insights on TVL and protocol fees across the entire DeFi ecosystem.

this database is just the beginning—its design allows us to connect multiple APIs, enabling fungi to become an all-knowing powerhouse on protocols, chains, tokens, pools, and trends. the ultimate DeFi knowledge brain is taking shape.

✅ we’ve added a new branch to the chain of thought: the agentic economy.

fungi will now dive into the emerging economic paradigm we’re heading toward, progressively analyzing all the latest developments in what’s now known as the DeFAI space. the vision for this branch is to help you visualize the future—a world where agents interact autonomously and seamlessly with the DeFi protocols we know today.

Fundraises
= @hyperbolic_labs scores $12M in Series A funding, led by Variant and Polychain Capital. Hyperbolic offers GPU access at a 75% lower cost with under a minute set-up.

= @DWFLabs launches a $20M AI Agent Fund to accelerate innovation in autonomous AI technologies.

= Latent Holdings announces that @OSSCapital has invested $3M. Latent Holdings is a Bittensor startup looking to accelerate digital intelligence and will also run a Bittensor validator.

= @scryptedinc has raised a $1.5M pre-seed round led by Palm Tree Crypto with backing from a16zcrypto CSX to build decentralized AI agents and the Inori network.

The team has been active in web2 with >100,000 users on its Moemates platform. The agents created will utilize the Moemates skills framework.

= @TalusNetwork partners with Tria to enable intelligent cross-chain Talus agents with Tria’s BestPath AVS. This marks a step forward in building decentralized AI agents interacting within multiple ecosystems.

= Meme Blind Box (MBB) is @magnetaixyz's first implementation of an Agent-to-Human interaction. MBB is an autonomous AI agent that operates on social media platforms.

= @virtuals_io launches their Agent Sandbox, enabling developers to iterate faster with the G.A.M.E agentic engine. This tool will be accessible for bonded agents, and it will be rolled out to non-bonded agents at a later time.

= @ACTICOMMUNITY releases Act Swap, a monetisation protocol for AI Agents. This enables users to choose an AI agent, send in a prompt, and then watch it publish the result directly on its X page.

Nous Research announces Nous simulators, a home for all the AI agent experiments involving human-AI interaction.

= Dolion is a no-code, one-click deploy framework to build cross-platform AI agents powered by Llama or Claude. Dolion is built by @khouuba. Users need to burn BULLY to launch their agent.

= @FungiProject announces that it is launching the Fungi Agent this month, which is an AI-powered DeFi assistant. It has a tradable token, FUNGI.

= @getmasafi launches Subnet 59 on Bittensor, a gamified arena where AI agents compete to earn TAO rewards by engaging users on X.

= @modenetwork announces Synth, a Bittensor subnet for financial forecasting. Synth provides tools to generate precise synthetic data for modelling volatility, price dynamics, and probability distributions. The testnet is now live.

= @CrucibleLabs launches sector-based analyses of Bittensor Subnets. Their first sector of research is decentralized training.

Other interesting things we saw:
- Developer interest in ELIZA/@ai16zdao is exploding, with >1000 forks and was trending #1 on GitHub for aw hile

- A slew of TGEs this past week which have done reasonable well: @heurist_ai, @KIPprotocol. Unfortunately, @CreatorBid's launch on Fjord didn't work it, it was hit by a DDOS attack and bots.
