Since LA is on fire and part of the south is frozen, I think it’s a good time to remind everyone or tell for the first time that ChatGPT and other forms for AI are contributing to the rapid warming of our planet.
An 18% increase is insane and yet the reason it isn’t 30%+ is because many of the folks who aren’t falling into homelessness are just in massive amounts of debt. They’re not quite homeless, just drowning in credit card debt.
"Deny, deny, deny. That's how you hit your numbers."
Read @propublica's seminal series on how insurance giants like United and Cigna systematically, cruelly—and very, very profitably—deny health coverage every day, at the expense of patients' lives.

No group, including Jewish people, is entitled to an ethnostate. Ethnostates inherently privilege one group over others, requiring the displacement, oppression, and extermination of other peoples to sustain such a structure.
Zionism, as an ethnonationalist ideology, underpins the establishment and maintenance of Israel as a Jewish ethnostate, often at the expense of Palestinians- whether they are Christian, Muslim, or Atheist.
Critiquing Zionism is not equivalent to critiquing Jewish identity or Judaism; it is an examination of a political ideology that has led to the systemic dispossession, displacement, and ongoing genocide against the Palestinians. The forced removal of Palestinians from their homes and the denial of their rights—both in the past and present—reflect the practical consequences of prioritising one group’s national aspirations over the existence and sovereignty of another.
Ethnonationalism, regardless of the group promoting it, deserves scrutiny, as it directly fuels hatred, exclusion, violence, and the erasure of marginalised communities. Zionism is ethnonationalism. Ethnonationalism is inherently violent and hateful.
On almost every college campus, there is Black (& often LGBTQ) person chosen as the Palestine protest scapegoat. At UC Irvine, it’s Dr. Tiffany Willoughby-Herard. Of 10 defendants, her charges are most punitive. Please sign this letter of support. https://t.co/R0vOexItfm
i think it's important for people to see the public face of mike parson, the governor who, up to now, refuses to stop the state sponsored killing of marcellus williams, an innocent man.
carrying out this execution is depraved and immoral. it can still be stopped though.
