@bossbeechyscoop Bloke won’t accept the nonsense that’s been coming out of the Eng team recently. He’s all about standards and results. They need a bit of that.
@grassrootsrefJa@keppersotschen@Reesjones123 FIFA works in mysterious ways and the referees committee meetings must be epic discussions when it comes time to ratify appointments. I have heard stories of referees being “appointed” and then pulled at the last moment because of political favours.
@football_roos@vesh88 Spain/France vs Argentina - I think it will be Faghani. Spain/France vs England, they’ll be very tempted to give it to a UEFA official - possibly Makkelie, but hopefully it is still Faghani.
@keppersotschen@grassrootsrefJa@Reesjones123 Now that Barton has been given the first semi, it won’t be Concacaf ref for the second one. I think likely they appoint a very experienced official like Makellie or Marciniak for a fixture of that magnitude. Then Alireza F for the final.
@OutrightAlpha@paxangloceltae You absolute clown. The referee Faghani is on his fourth World Cup as has refereed several high profile matches. But no, definitely not qualified 🤡
@Buftie9@FrancisAwartefe That the whole purpose of VAR you dill. To make sure that major decisions (penalties, red cards etc) are given correctly, even if the referee has an obstructed view etc. You don’t want them to guess.
