#ED608 A6: Leaders can recognize work that they see staff members doing throughout the building. They can use that time to celebrate what they have seen throughout the school using visuals!
A5: What evidence is there to support that a flexible seating environment correlates to academic achievement? I would think that students would be more engaged in learning which in turn would produce higher test scores...? Thoughts? #ED608
#ED608 A3:
It allows them to have a voice and choice in their learning which will hopefully lead to engagement. I have also read research on how flexible seating has health benefits such as increased metabolism and improved focus!
A2: I think you can still utilize the idea of displaying student work within the space. I also think it would be beneficial to collaborate with the teacher that you are sharing the space with... perhaps you may share some organizational ideas! #ED608
@misswardin4th I like the message that our classroom should not look like what it did 70 years ago, as the learners in the classroom do not look like what they did 70 years ago.. Constant need for improvement #ED608
A1: The book puts the student in the driver's seat of the classroom design process. Previously, teachers had been the organizers/ facilitators of the classroom space. This book suggests that students contribute to the design of their learning space. #ED608
