Mikie and I chose Ashland, Virginia, as a trial location for being snowbirds. We are 20 miles from our son's home. And, it’s an interesting city we’ve seen on AMTRAK. The tracks for freight and AMTRAK run down the middle of the main street.

Today is a monumental day—it's my LAST radiation treatment for prostate cancer!

Back in April I received the news that I had prostate cancer. I'm thrilled to share that everything looks great now! I’m ready to dive back into doing my retirement thing. Let the celebrations begin!

Day #5 of the adventure

Today we toured the Stormy Kormer factory in Ironwood and bought some hats. Had lunch in Mercer and drove to Dorchester to get the dog from the kennel. Now a new adventure starts tomorrow when the 4 grandchildren are here this weekend.

Day #4 of the adventure.

Saw waterfalls and dramatic rock outcrops at Picture Rock National Park in Munising. In Marquette toured the Harbor Lighthouse, Maritime Museum and lunch at another micro brewery. And drove to Ironwood to spend the night.

Day #3 of the adventure.

Toured Sleeping Bear Dunes NPS. We did not climb the dunes; I know how gravity works! Zoom in to see all the people using all four to climb back up. Next to Gaylord for dinner and see the Elk Park. Then across the Mackinac Bridge to Manistique.

Day 2 of the adventure.

A wonderful breakfast at St. Brendan’s, toured the Manitowoc Maritime Museum, and sailed to Ludington, Michigan on the SS Badger.

To celebrate Mikie’s birthday and our 47th anniversary I am taking her on a 4 day adventure. Today was the National Train Museum, world’ largest grandfathers clock and dinner with good friends. Tune in tomorrow to see what I have planned next.

We had the entire Wisconsin tribe together for Easter.

We are in Washington, DC on our 5th and final leg of our adventure, now heading home. On our layover we toured the Spy Museum where they displayed cool technology. I will leave those types of covert adventures to others.

We arrived in Miami this morning and completed leg 2 of our great adventure. Tomorrow we start leg 3 towards Richmond.

Yesterday we went through the Panama Canal and today we are in Cartagena, Columbia.

On the second leg of our adventure sailing the Pacific Ocean. Monday we see the Panama Canal.
