Fantastic Guardian review of Mark Solms' new book, The Only Cure, essential reading for all clinicians. How and Why does psychoanalysis work? Want the science? It's all here, folks @Mark_Solms@guardian https://t.co/cYF608bih1

Psychoanalytic treatment is an antidote to indoctrination; it is an inquiry into how people influence each other, into the individual's history of living in other people's regimes.

Very pleased to see mention in the recent East of England newsletter of award winning work from @CPFT_NHS Adult Eating disorder Service on their work Formulation Based Health Assessments (FBHA): Moving away from protocol based
medical monitoring in eating disorders
Leisure is just the mysticism of every day life. A contemplative practice where one opens themselves to the incomprehensible mystery of God in their daily actions
16 June 1904. The complex novel Ulysses by the Irish writer James Joyce chronicles the appointments and encounters of Leopold Bloom in Dublin in the course of one day: 16 June 1904. Joyce fans always celebrate this day as Bloomsday.

1 car crash and 2 of the most difficult but greatest months of my life.
I’m an emotional mess tonight but I just want to say, no matter how dark a place you are in. It can and WILL get better. 2 years ago I was in the darkest place in my life, 2 years later we have made history.
Thank you to everyone who believed in me. I love you all very much. I’ll do a post when I’m able to process what’s just happened. MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS ❤️
"Many of us as individuals have a tendency to diminish our own mental anguish – to feel that physical pain is somehow more worthy. This is why it is unsurprising that we tolerate such meagre offerings of sustained psychotherapy on the NHS"

£20,000 RAISED FOR @MINDCHARITY ❤️ Day 9 completed of running the length of the UK.
Today we battled sickness, injury and a route mismatch (going to have to do 30 miles some point this week) but 28km stomped today.
Never did I imagine less than 2 weeks in we would have hit our target aim of £20,000. I feel like I’ve not explained enough about why I chose mind.
In 2019 my dad was diagnosed with dementia following 4 years of battling with his mental health. It was a big shock to us as a family and we felt rock bottom. Mind came in and saved not only my life but my dads as well. To be partnering with them in this challenge is a dream come true and my aim is to one day raise 100,000 all together for them. We currently are at 48,100!
It’s going to be a tough few weeks but this challenge was never to be a holiday. Onto day 10

That's a wrap! Thanks to the @CPFT_NHS resident doctors who attended and engaged with our 2 half day workshop on an introduction to neuropsychoanalysis! Thanks also for @CpftMedEd for inviting us and supporting us to deliver training in this important area of clinical practice!
