@PierreVLeBrun@wyshynski just awkward that the same standard was applied to Barkov either of the last two seasons, there has always been a heightened offensive production focus of the award if we're honest. Hard to argue that there wasnt some implicit career accomplishment angel to this.
@HardRTard5@finznationftw@SonataAway Tarasov was brilliant this year, he played behind the charolette checkers for over half the year, lol. They will figure that out.
@KevinSellers19@Kim64779055@bigheadhcky that's the point I am making, not sure who you are arguing with... you need to understand to read and get context apparently.
@KevinSellers19@Kim64779055@bigheadhcky the guy that legit had the best regular season, particularly the best second half of regular season, ghosted his team in post season.
@KevinSellers19@Kim64779055@bigheadhcky nitpicking certain global stats doesnt change the eye test, or justify 2 goals in last 25 playoff games. He just had 0 points and was stuffed into a locker in the last 3 games in a series they lost in 7, in part because the MVP of this season disappeared when it mattered most.
@JasonGregor Jones's analytics were significantly better than Nurse's are, on a considerably worse team. You find someone to absorb Nurse's contract, for virtually nothing, or retain and get assets. Skinner deal was abhorrent, part of the reason I am shocked Mr. Bowman is still employed.
@JasonGregor@alex_rompen Are his offensive metrics that you tout taking into account his many own goals, cause he had a boat load of them this year for sure.
@BobNoWay@JLazzy23 Hill, had an awful season, but he was previously brilliant, including in his only ever stanley cup final. You know Hart has been terrible. even if Hill could be worse, what do you have to lose? They're down 3-1 largely due to goalie play, why not see if Hill can play better?
@TopTierPucks Points-Per-game: Kuch: 1.71 McDavid: 1.68; Gap Between Next Highest Scorer: Kuch-Guentzel: 42 McDavid-Draisaitl: 41; GWG: Kuch: 8, McDavid: 4; Individual Point Percentage (% of goals for the team that they earned a point on): Kuch: 80.75% McDavid: 80.50%
@simonpoisvert@Ela_tan25@RonoAnalyst based on your analogy, if it's 1 for 1 of course... it depends on what else, if also #9 pick, plus other assets, it eventually become too much. E.G. Habs definitely do Suzuki for Mcdavid 1 for 1, but do they do Suzuki, plus hage plus 3 first and 2 other top prospects. Prolly not
@jayradio@EricMacramalla He coulda left them and they woulda gotten nothing for him he signed with them on this condition, it's team fault for signing this if they have problem with it, he gave them a decade he owes them nothing. They don't have to trade him thou, he is under contract after all
@EricMacramalla Or you could negotiate 10 team trade list instead of full nmc, they don't have to grant his request he's under contract but in the event they don't want to have a disgruntled captain he holds the leverage as they agreed. The red wings didn't have to sign this contract.
@JFreshHockey Panthers have the most to offer if the cats want him. They have two middle 2nds this year and the 9th overall, plus Mackie and E-Rod. Detroit can reup mackie and move E-rod for more assets, e-rod is an incredibly useful player with only 3 mil cap hit, many teams would want him.
